This is a 10-week course. During weeks 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9, you will be watching pre-arranged film chosen by the course tutor from the Broadway film programme, followed by a film discussion in weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 between 2PM and 3.30PM.
The course officially starts on Monday 3 October when there will be a short introductory session to give you an opportunity to meet the course tutor and other course members, to ask any questions, and to find out how to redeem your film credits.
The time of the introductory sessions will be advertised on our course notice board at the following link nearer the time >> broadway.org.uk/courses. We will also use this notice board to update participants on film titles throughout the course.
The first discussion session will be on Monday 10 October.
All of our film courses are designed with adult participants in mind (ages 18+) - as such, we may watch and discuss films across a range of genres and themes.
At the beginning of the course, your Talk Cinema account will be credited with 5 credits to enable you to see the 5 films that will be discussed during the course. Please note, these credits will only apply to the 5 films chosen by the course tutor, and are non-transferrable, so cannot be used to see any other film from the Broadway film programme. More information on how to redeem your film credits will be given during the introductory session.
The first film you will be watching will be announced on our online notice board nearer the time.
Our Talk Cinema courses offer individuals the opportunity to discuss films and voice their opinions in an open and supportive environment. Differences of opinion can arise and we do expect participants to be respectful towards each other at all times.
You are not required to bring anything with you to the discussion sessions except a pen and paper if you wish to take notes.
Please note that we cannot refund courses within 10 working days of the start date, or once the course has started.
Should you require any further help with your booking please contact a member of the box office staff on 0115 952 6611 and they will be glad to help.
